Is it true that staring at a computer monitor for a long time will damage your eye?

ANSWER.  No.  The amount of radiation emanating from modern monitors is so low that the risk of problems from prolonged use has not been shown to affect the eye adversely.  However if you're in front of your monitor all the time, you may not be getting adequate sunlight and certainly your social life may not be too healthy either. Taking a break every now and then will allow you to rest your eyes and give you a chance to get a life.  And if you're feeling some discomfort even with moderate use of your computers it may be time to see your eye doctor.
