Are all eye doctors the same?

ANSWER.  No.  Some eye doctors check your grade and prescribe glasses. They are called optometrists.  Eye doctors who prescribe medicines and perform surgery are called ophthalmologists or eye md's.  Some ophthalmologists undergo subspecialty training in a specific group of eye diseases.  The ACES eye team is composed of experienced specialists in Retina, Glaucoma, Pediatrics, Refractive surgery, Plastic and orbit working together as a team. That's why we can give our patients the benefit of a second or more opinion in one visit.
